This is the third part of our exploration. In Blog: Why Archetypes Exist: The Cosmic Governors of the Unawakened:  we explained why archetypes exist — forces that govern the unawakened through instinct, fate, emotion, and psychological patterns. In Blog 2 we explored how the Most High (El Elyon) divided the nations among the “sons of God,” each nation falling under different cosmic rulers.

Now we come to the turning point of history — the arrival of Jesus the Messiah, who appears in the New Testament not as another ruler within the system, but as a being from above the cosmic rulers (John 8:23).

This blog explains how Jesus confronts, overturns, and liberates humanity from the archetypes, principalities, zodiac forces, and the “powers of this age.” We will examine His teachings, His corrections of the Old Testament, and His higher revelation of the True Father — the One beyond the cosmic hierarchy.

Jesus Declares Himself Above the Cosmic Rulers

In the Gospel of John, Jesus makes one of the most important statements in Scripture:

“You are from below; I am from above.” — John 8:23

This sets the entire theological battlefield: Humanity is “below” under the influence of:

  • archetypes
  • instinctual patterns
  • cosmic rulers (archons)
  • zodiacal forces
  • ancestral spirits
  • national guardians

Jesus, however, originates from above the hierarchy, revealing a Father not previously understood by the world.

“No one has ever seen God; the Only Begotten… has made Him known.” — John 1:18

The implication is profound: The Father Jesus reveals is not the same as the voices filtered through cosmic rulers in parts of the OT.

Jesus Overrides Old Testament Commands Shaped by Cosmic Governance

Jesus does not attack Israel’s Scriptures — He fulfills them by piercing through the cultural, national, and archetypal filters that shaped them. He often begins with:

“You have heard it said… but I say to you.” — Matthew 5

This formula signals a divine override. Here are key examples:

  • Violence
OT: “Eye for an eye.” (Ex. 21:24)
Jesus: “Resist not the evil person; turn the other cheek.” (Mt. 5:39)
  • Enemy hatred
OT: hatred of enemies assumed (Leviticus wars)
Jesus: “Love your enemies.” (Mt. 5:44)
  • Moses’ divorce law
    OT: Divorce permitted.
Jesus: “Moses allowed it for your hardness.” (Mt. 19:8)
  • Sabbath legalism
    OT: strict rest.
Jesus: “The Sabbath was made for man.” (Mk. 2:27)
  • Death penalty
    OT: Stone the adulterous woman.
Jesus: “Let the sinless one cast the first stone.” (Jn. 8:7)

Each override reveals a gentler, higher Source — the Father beyond the archetypal rulers who governed the nations with strict justice, fate, and tribal boundaries.

Jesus Names the Cosmic Rulers Directly

In the Gospel of John, Jesus refers to:

“the ruler of this world.” — John 14:30
“the prince of this world.” — John 12:31

The Greek word is archon — the same term used in Gnostic texts for cosmic powers associated with the zodiac and planetary spheres.

Paul continues this theme:

“the elemental spirits (stoicheia) of the world” — Galatians 4:3
“the rulers, authorities, and powers in the heavenly realms” — Ephesians 6:12

Stoicheia = the elemental cosmic forces that govern personality, fate, and instinct — essentially, archetypes.

Jesus confronts and disarms these powers:

“Having disarmed the rulers and authorities, He made a public spectacle of them.” — Colossians 2:15

Jesus Teaches Liberation From Fate

Ancient religions believed fate (often described through zodiac patterns) was inevitable.

Jesus rejects this worldview:

“You shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” — John 8:32

Free from what? The context is cosmic slavery:

“Everyone who sins is a slave… but if the Son sets you free, you are free indeed.” — John 8:34–36

Gnostic writings echo this:

“The world’s rulers bind the soul in fate, but the One who comes from the fullness sets it free.” — Apocryphon of John

Hermeticism also agrees:

“The zodiac gives form and fate, but the awakened who receive Nous are no longer ruled by the twelve.” — Corpus Hermeticum XII

Jesus Reveals a Father Above the Old Testament Voices

Jesus repeatedly contrasts His Father with what Israel assumed about God.

  • He says the Father “makes the sun rise on the evil and good.” (Mt. 5:45) — contradicting OT claims that God only blesses Israel.
  • He forbids calling fire down on enemies (Lk. 9:54–56), rejecting the model of Elijah.
  • He rejects violent Messiah expectations (Mt. 16:23).
  • He says the Father never desired sacrifice (Mt. 9:13), contradicting priestly texts in Torah.

He is revealing the True God — who was not fully known in prior ages.

Jesus Teaches a Path Above the Archetypes

Jesus does not merely criticize the archetypal system — He replaces it with a new spiritual operating system:

“Walk in the Spirit.” — Galatians 5:16

This is radical: To walk in the Spirit is to rise above:

  • instinct
  • fate
  • anger cycles
  • lust impulses
  • fear patterns
  • national spirits
  • ancestral forces
  • planetary moods
  • zodiac timing

Paul writes it plainly:

“You are no longer under the cosmic elements (stoicheia).” — Galatians 4:9
“If you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.” — Galatians 5:18

Law here includes:

  • ritual law
  • fate
  • archetypes
  • national cosmic rulers

The 12 Disciples as a Reversal of the Zodiac System

The zodiac has 12 archetypal gates. Jesus chooses 12 disciples not as coincidence but as a cosmic declaration:

Jesus is building a new humanity not governed by the old zodiacal “twelve,” but led by a new divine pattern “from above.”

In Gnostic tradition:

“The Savior stood above the twelve archons of the zodiac.” — Pistis Sophia

This is the same message in Christian scripture:

“The Lamb has twelve apostles whose names are the foundations.” — Revelation 21:14

How to Break the Influence of Archetypes

Jesus offers a three-step “liberation path” from cosmic forces:

1. Know the Pattern

Awareness breaks instinct. As long as archetypes operate unconsciously — anger, fear, desire, depression — they rule.

2. Replace Instinct with Spirit

“Be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” (Rom. 12:2)

3. Enter the Kingdom Within

“The Kingdom of God is within you.” (Lk. 17:21)

The “within” is higher than the “below.”

Jesus Opens the Exit Door

Archetypes exist. Nations were ruled by cosmic governors. Fate was real. Instinct ruled humanity. The OT contains filtered voices shaped by these powers.

But Jesus brings humanity something new:

  • a Father above the cosmic rulers
  • a path above instinct and fate
  • a Spirit that frees from the zodiac
  • a truth that liberates from the archons
  • a love that replaces the violent tribal laws

This is the heart of the Gospel: Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. (2 Cor. 3:17)

Freedom from what? From everything that once ruled us:

  • archetypes
  • principalities
  • fear
  • instinct
  • ancestral patterns
  • national spirits
  • cosmic fate

This is not just religion — this is spiritual liberation.
