This article exposes the deepest revelation of all: The “Father of Lights” Jesus taught was completely unknown in the Old Testament — not to humans, not to prophets, and not even fully to the angels.

And more importantly: The Old Testament god YHWH was not the Father Jesus reveals — He was Enlil, the storm-god and national deity assigned to Israel under the cosmic order of Deuteronomy 32.

1. Jesus Shockingly Declares: “No One Has Ever Seen the Father”

According to Jesus Himself, the Father was completely unknown before His coming:

“No one has ever seen God.” — John 1:18

“You have neither heard His voice nor seen His form.” — John 5:37

“Not that anyone has seen the Father except the One who is from God.” — John 6:46

This is not metaphor. Jesus is directly correcting the Old Testament assumption that “YHWH = the Father.”

If nobody saw or heard the Father… then the being speaking in the Old Testament was: NOT the Father.

2. Scripture Reveals YHWH Was Not the Most High — He Was Assigned a Portion

The oldest form of Deuteronomy 32:8–9 (the Septuagint + Dead Sea Scrolls) reveals a cosmic order:

“When the Most High divided the nations, He set boundaries according to the number of the sons of God. YHWH’s portion was Jacob; Israel was the lot of His inheritance.”

Meaning:

• There are many gods (“sons of God”).
• The Most High assigned each nation a god.
• YHWH received only one portion — Israel.

This is exactly how the ancient world described the rule of the “gods of nations.”

And among them was a familiar figure: Enlil.

3. Who Was Enlil? And Why Does He Match YHWH Perfectly?

Enlil was:

• the storm-god of Sumer
• lord of wind, thunder, and mountain commandments
• a national deity ruling only his people
• a jealous, punitive, obedient-demanding god
• one of the 70 sons of the Most High in ancient cosmology

His characteristics match YHWH precisely:

• mountaintop laws (Sinai ≈ Enlil’s mountain)
• storm, thunder, and smoke manifestations
• jealousy and anger
• tribal warfare and genocide commands
• separation of one chosen nation

This is not coincidence — it is continuity.

YHWH is the Hebrew continuation of Enlil.

This is why Jesus repeatedly contradicts the violent voice attributed to “God” in the Old Testament — because Jesus represents the Father of Lights, not Enlil/YHWH.

4. The Father of Lights — A Divine Identity Absent From the Old Testament

James 1:17 gives a name unheard in the Hebrew Bible:

“The Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow.”

No jealousy. No wrath. No tribal favoritism. No darkness at all.

This identity:

• does not appear in the Old Testament
• does not match YHWH’s personality
• is only revealed through Jesus

Jesus did not come to confirm YHWH — He came to reveal someone entirely different.

5. Even Angels Did Not Fully Know the Father

The New Testament states that the identity of the Father was hidden even from the heavenly beings:

“The angels long to look into these things.” — 1 Peter 1:12

“We speak God’s hidden wisdom, kept secret before the ages.” — 1 Corinthians 2:7

“He dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has seen or can see.” — 1 Timothy 6:16

If angels did not know Him, how could the Old Testament Israelites?

They didn’t. They knew: Enlil/YHWH — a cosmic governor — not the Father of Jesus.

6. Why the Father Was Hidden Until Christ

The world was spiritually unawakened. It operated under:

• archetypal forces (Blog 1)
• national gods ruling consciousness (Blog 2)
• YHWH governing Israel (Blog 4)
• the Holy Spirit whispering gently (Blog 5)

Humanity could not receive the Father’s pure nature until Jesus came:

“If you’ve seen Me, you’ve seen the Father.” — John 14:9

Not YHWH. Not Enlil. Not an angel. Only Jesus reveals the Father.

7. Evidence That YHWH and the Father Cannot Be the Same

• Jesus contradicts YHWH’s justice system

• YHWH: eye for eye
• Jesus: do not resist evil

• Jesus contradicts YHWH’s divorce laws

• YHWH (through Moses): divorce permitted
• Jesus: NOT from the Father

• Jesus rejects YHWH’s food laws

• Jesus stops YHWH’s stoning punishment

• Jesus rebukes Elijah (a servant of YHWH) for calling fire

No Christian can deny these contradictions — they are plain in the Gospels.

Jesus was showing the difference between the Father and the second voice.

8. What Makes the Father of Lights Different From YHWH/Enlil?

These are not the same being — they are opposite in nature.

9. Jesus Reveals the True God for the First Time

Jesus’ purpose was not to reaffirm YHWH — but to expose the True God above Him.

This is why Jesus:

• breaks the archetypes (Blog 3)
• reveals the Father (Blog 4)
• brings the Spirit of Truth (Blog 5)
• awakens humanity to their origin in the Father of Lights

“I have revealed Your name to those You gave Me.” — John 17:6

Whose name? The Father’s — not YHWH’s.

10. The Final Revelation: You Belong to the Father of Lights, Not the Cosmic Governors

You are not a child of:

• YHWH
• Enlil
• Marduk
• Zeus
• Shango
• Tyr
• Horus
• Odin

These are “the gods of the nations” — the archetypes and governors God assigned to the unawakened world.

But Jesus came so humanity would no longer be ruled by them:

“You are from above… they are from below.” — John 8:23

Your origin is higher: You come from the Father of Lights.

The Father Jesus reveals is your true Source — not the cosmic rulers of old.
